Samples of good practices & Courses

Samples of good practices in technology-mediated task-based language teaching are soon to be made available in the eleven languages of the consortium.

These tasks have be designed so as to ensure that they travel well, i.e. that they can be used in the teaching of several languages and in different national educational contexts.

The consortium is also planning to offer a variety of teacher training courses in TBLT in the ten Universities that form the consortium.

Research & papers

Sharing our experience & producing knowledge

PETALL tasks and the information gleaned from the implementation and analysis of the success of the tasks with client groups are currently being shared with the profession in a number of contexts.

This engagement with a task-based learning approach and the pan-European nature of the project has led to further research and collaborative development work within the project team and with the contacts made in the implementation and dissemination of the tasks.

Participation in scientific meetings

The consortium has been participating in meetings specifically oriented to the dissemination of results and recommendations, namely annual conferences held at national level in each of the countries participating in this project and international meetings/workshops, to keep our international colleagues informed of the latest advances in PETALL.

Publication of scientific papers

PETALL needs to reach out a very broad community. The privileged way to reach academic people are scientific publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings. The consortium has been producing papers, a list of which is to be made available soon.

Reporting & Evaluating

Transparency & quality assurance

The consortium is committed to a policy of transparency and quality assurance. Reports of its meetings and other activities are published in the languages of the consortium. On the other hand, it is important to guarantee the quality of its products. PETALL has been working on the development of evaluation tools that are expected to leverage both the quality of teacher education in technology-mediated TBLT and the effectiveness of task-based language learning.
